The base of the stamp is made out of durable and water repellent alder wood. The part that creates the imprint is made out of 100% bio-based plastic.

Width: 4.3 cm / 1.7 in

How to use:
Find your perfect stamp timing - time will vary depending on your soap recipe.
Cut your loaf of soap into bars and wait for the surface to dry and harden. This can take anywhere from a few hours to a whole week depending on the recipe.
Press the stamp firmly into the soap, making sure it is pressed in on all sides. Rock the stamp from side to side while gently pulling it upwards to release the stamp from the soap.
If the imprint wasn’t clean, and the soap was still too soft, allow the soap to harden for a bit longer and repeat until your imprint is successful.
If the soap is difficult to press in, the soap is too hard and you need to stamp it sooner.
If the imprint is crisp and clear, you have found your perfect stamp timing, continue stamping the rest of your soaps.
Stamping soaps can be tricky and require some trial and error, keep notes of the best timing to stamp for your particular recipe.
Care guide:
Store the stamp in a cool environment away from direct sunlight. Avoid exposure to excess heat and moisture. Use a soft toothbrush to get rid of residual dried soap.
How to clean the stamp:
Hand wash with lukewarm water. Use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the stamp, rinse, and pat dry with a towel.
We triple sand our wooden stamp handles and seal them with oil. We don’t want to coat them with anything else to preserve the superior feel and look of the natural wood. Sometimes water can bring out “fuzzies” to the surface of the wood. If this happens the stamp handle can be lightly sanded with fine grit sandpaper and sealed with an oil. After this the stamp will be as good as new.
